STYLE : Botanical Infusion
AROMA & FLAVOR: A spice filled nose, savory, herbaceous. Crisp acidity to carry the gentle florality around the pallet. Short clean finish with final notes of cumin, earthy grounding and a rounding edge of apple.
APPLE & FRUIT VARIETIES: Fermented on the farm with a select blend of Certified Organic Washington apples.
CIDERMAKER NOTES: This infusion is a delight of blossoms. To start off, we harvested a full row of nasturtium blossoms to melt into the cider and then, once the Nigella seeds matured, we infused the seeds into the cider to bring out a "full of flower" power. The combination is both floral and savory, not too sweet so you can taste the nasturtium. Big thanks to Essential Blooms for the agriculture and willingness to grow special flowers just for us.
SERVING SUGGESTIONS: With crisp savory notes this cider is a perfect match to Moroccan tagine, falafel sandwiches with cucumber, lemon and herb rich middle eastern dishes like kebab and fattoush. Wonderful with pesto from many herbs like parsley and cilantro- so then pastas and dips and tapenades.
