Private Events Manager

Position Summary 

The Private Events Manager is a gracious and ambitious professional who makes wonderful events happen at the Finnriver Cider Garden! The Private Events Manager is responsible for leadership, management, sales, and implementation of a dynamic, educational, and successful Finnriver private event program — with the aim of creating a positive, profitable, family-friendly venue at the Finnriver Farm & Cidery and furthering our mission to reconnect people to the land that sustains us. This position includes administration, coordination, planning, and implementation of on-site private event inquiries (such as private parties, weddings, educational tours, and company retreats).

 

The Private Events Manager will also conduct outreach and sales activities in the off-season to generate new private event business, and will provide oversight of the event experience on site to maintain exceptional, joyful customer service and event follow-through. The ideal Private Events Manager will maintain kindness and composure under pressure, can bring order to chaos, and is able to create well-organized and positive event experiences at Finnriver. Experience in administration, budgeting, staff management, event coordination, and food/beverage industry is preferred.

 

Position is up to 20-30 hours per week based on season plus occasional option to work events which vary per week and is located in Chimacum with weekday and weekend hours, adjusted seasonally to the needs of the position. This position is intended to grow as the events program grows.


Production Cidermaking Crew member

Location: Chimacum, WA

Salary: Starts at $18/hour

Reports to: Chris Weir, Head Cidermaker/Senior Production Manager

Hours: Full-time or two people at part-time. Need at least 24 hours per week now through mid-December. This is a seasonal job to end December 20th. This has the potential to go full-time if the need exists. 

 

About the Position:

We are looking for an energetic, hardworking and motivated Cidermaker Crew member to help the Finnriver Cidery with packaging and labeling our cider products. We’re looking for one of those wonderfully handy people with attention to detail, a willingness to consider and implement an ecological ethic in their choices, be able to thrive in a rapidly growing, fast-paced environment, and a commitment to our farm mission to reconnect people to the land that sustains us and grow community. This is a physical job that requires you to lift up to 50lbs, and lift 30 lbs regularly, be on your feet most of your shift and work near moving mechanical parts, wet floors/equipment while keeping to strict sanitary requirements. This is a full time position of 8-hour days. No previous experience necessary. Meheen Bottling Machine experience is a plus.


Production Pressing Crew member

Location: Chimacum, WA

Full-time or two people at part-time. Need at least 24 hours per week now through mid-November. This is a seasonal job to end November 20th depending on harvest.

About the Position:
We are looking for an energetic, hardworking and motivated crew member to help the Finnriver Cidery with pressing the incoming apple harvest. This is a physical job that requires you to lift up to 30 lbs regularly, be on your feet most of your shift and work near moving mechanical parts, wet floors/equipment while keeping to strict sanitary requirements.
