Kitchen Manager

Location: Chimacum, WA

Salary:  $19.66/hour plus tips and $24-26/hour for admin. The kitchen and cider garden share the tip pool and with tips this role averages closer to $28–34/hr in the high season, along with full benefits. As a B Corp, we’re always striving to do right by our people and our place, even within the constraints of small farm economics.

About the Position:

This position manages the Finnriver Kitchen in a manner that is delicious, safe and efficient. The kitchen facility is a shared space utilized by multiple partners until 2pm daily. The Finnriver Kitchen generally opens at noon, 3-5 days per week depending on the season, and offers food for sale to cidery customers alongside a rotating host of other food vendors on the property. The manager ensures that the Finnriver Kitchen menu is updated and meets the evolving needs of its customers, in concert with the overall Finnriver tasting room and its team of cider and event hosts. 

Finnriver has a solid menu and eager customers, we are looking for a leader who can support our small crew and build a reliable, high-functioning kitchen that reliably delivers meals to delight Finnriver visitors through the 2026 season and beyond. 

The role includes scheduling and supervision of a small team of cooks, front line order-takers and dishwashers, as well as administrative tasks such as ordering, receiving, maintaining records, inventory management, making menu updates and interfacing with other branches at Finnriver (safety, marketing, and admin). The Manager works with the kitchen team to prepare and serve food for our onsite operation while upholding local health and food safety requirements, as well as Finnriver policies and mission. Self-motivation to tidy, organize and remain occupied on slower days is required as well. Good humor and love of humanity is essential! Shift frequency can vary seasonally but looking at roughly 35-40 hours/week.
