Cherries, cherry candy, and dark stone fruit on the nose with sharp acid and chewy tannins, a touch of fresh baked bread.


APPLE & FRUIT VARIETIES


Finnriver’s Golden Russet Cider, aged for days on locally grown Garanoir grape skins from Port Townsend Vineyards.


CIDERMAKER NOTES


This interplay of apple and grape is a shining example of community collaboration and blended complexity.  The fine cider fermented from our organic cider fruit was commingled with freshly pressed grape skins bringing a fusion of flavor and aroma to this unique vinous wine. It was a delight to work this wine through the bottle-conditioning process, and to  watch the grape sugar ferment into an elegant mousse that is rarely achieved in cider alone. Hooray for the merging of fruit! 


SERVING SUGGESTIONS 


Cold on a hot day, happy hour refreshment, with a California roll on the porch, or partner with more substantial fall meals of risotto, winter squashes, and roasted chicken; or those elusive non-tomato lasagnas, and the final fresh vegetables of the season.
