FINNRIVER DONATIONS & COMMUNITY SUPPORT

We want our work at Finnriver to be a positive force in the world and particulary at the local community level. We have several donations programs in place to do so:

  1. Donations of cider or cider tastings for non-profit community events.*
  2. Non-profit and community event sponsorships through in-kind cider donations.
  3. Discounts on rental of our community event space for non-profit events and community organizations.
  4. The Register Round-Up program at the Chimacum Cider Garden which features Jefferson County community organizations and non profits.
  5. The Social Justice Cider Project— this special label cider features grassroots, BIPOC-led organizations doing impactful work and social justice. A portion of proceeds from the sale of each bottle go directly to these partner, organizations or efforts.
  6. Farmstead Cider fund— because our Farmstead cider features community sourced apples from across the north Olympic peninsula, we save $.10 from every bottle sold to community education initiatives in our area.

*Cider donations can take the form of pre-made auction gift bags or bottled/draft cider for direct service at a non-profit event with a special occasion license.

At this time, we do not mail any cider donations. Organizations will be asked to pick donated product up directly from the Chimacum Cider Garden or the Tumwater Tap Room.

Finnriver staff may sometimes be available to serve cider if the event has significant opportunity for outreach.

Given the very high number of requests for cider donations, we prioritize making local impacts. We support ecological, educational and humanitarian initiatives, with a focus primarily on Jefferson and Thurston counties and do not donate to school fundraisers beyond these counties at this time.

If you are seeking a donation, please go to bottom of this page and fill out the form. We will consider your request and get back to you as soon as we can! Thank you.

FINNRIVER FARMSTEAD TEN CENTS A BOTTLE PROGRAM

In appreciation of the community spirit in this cider, we contribute  a portion of proceeds from the sale of this bottle to support educational programs on the farm and in our community.
