We're so glad you're coming to Finnriver. Please see our guidelines on group reservations if you plan on visiting with a group of 8 or more folks.

Tastings and Tours

We heartily welcome you to come visit Finnriver for a taste of life on the land. The Cider Garden is open noon-9pm daily year round. Sample, enjoy and purchase hard ciders and fruit wines, as well as seasonal snacks and other sundries in our rustic farm Tasting Room and Farmware Store. You can find seating in one of several covered structures in our Cider Garden.

DRAFT

We offer 5 and 10 ounce draft pours of a range of our farmcrafted hard ciders, as well as cider cocktails, and we serve a rotation of several non-alcoholic options, such as Iggy's kombucha, root beer and more.

FLIGHTS

We offer cider flights with 5 two-ounce sample pours of an array of our farmrafted ciders and/or fruit wines for $12-$14.  

TASTINGS & TOURS

Guided tastings are offered daily from noon-5pm and tours are offered on summer weekends, weather permitting.

Counter Tastings:

On weekdays, we tend to do our guided tastings at the counter in the Tasting Room.  $7/person for tastes and stories of 6 ciders and/or fruit wine or two.

Seated Cider Tastings:

Take a seat in our pavilion or on the tasting porch and enjoy views of the fields and orchards while one of our tasting room hosts pours six samples of our farmcrafted hard ciders and fruit wines, complete with stories of each bottle’s origins, fermentation facts and background on the farm.

Approximately 30-45 minutes, $10/person

Orchard Tour & Tasting:

On weekend days between Memorial Day and Labor Day, we offer this adventure in the orchard! Take a stroll through our 10 acres of organic fruit trees with a Finnriver host as your guide. You will enjoy samples of six of our farmcrafted ciders and fruit wines, with crackers and apple chips. The 1/4 mile loop around the fields and trees is interwoven with stories on farm history, apple, orchard and fermentation facts and insights into our mission and land partnerships. Note you will be walking directly on the land and the ground will be bumpy. Weather dependent, minimum 6 guests.

Approx 45 minutes, $15/person

Deaf-Friendly Tastings:

We want to be welcoming and accessible to all. With a two-week advance notice, we can provide ASL interpreted cider tastings (with a certified ASL interpreter) for our deaf and hard-of-hearing guests Finnriver is pleased to work with the folks at deaffriendly.com for trainings and support.

TAKE IT HOME WITH YOU

You can  purchase from the full array of Finnriver hard ciders and fruit wines at our Tasting Room, including some bottles that are limited release and generally only found on the farm.  We also offer club member discounts. Learn more and join one of our Cider Clubs!

DRINK WISELY

We encourage our visitors to be responsible cidery guests. For your own safety and the safety of others, please travel with a designated driver if you choose to consume cider or any other alcoholic beverages. We want you to have a safe and joyful visit!

Finnriver invites local food vendors to serve throughout the year and their schedules vary with the season and the harvest. For the winter, we have woodfired pizza, crepes and oyster vendors present on the weekends only. CHECK HERE FOR THE FOOD CALENDAR & DAILY VENDOR SCHEDULE. Directions from Seattle

  • Take the Bainbridge Island or Kingston Ferry
  • Follow signs to the Hood Canal Bridge
  • (Be aware that there may be travel delays with the bridge. Visit the Hood Canal DOT website for more information)
  • Cross the bridge and follow Route 104 west for about 10 miles
  • Take the Chimacum/Port Townsend exit up Beaver Valley Road
  • At the Chimacum 4-way stop, go left onto Center Road
  • Our new location is a few hundred yards on your right
  • Turn at the Finnriver Orchard sign into the gravel parking lot

Directions from Port Angeles, Sequim

  • Travel east on Highway 101 past Discovery Bay
  • Take Route 104 (toward Hood Canal Bridge, but not across)
  • Take the Chimacum/Quilcene exit. This is also the "Olympic Music Festival" exit
  • Turn left at the bottom of the ramp onto Center Road, heading North
  • Continue about 6.5 miles to just south of the Chimacum 4-way stop
  • Our new location is just south of the intersection
  • Turn left at the Finnriver Orchard sign into the gravel parking lot

Directions from Port Townsend

  • Travel south on Route 19 towards Chimacum
  • At the four-way stop, turn right onto Center Road, heading South
  • Our new location is just a few hundred yards south of the intersection. Turn right at the Finnriver Orchard sign into the gravel parking lot

Guest Guidelines

OUTSIDE FOOD POLICY

Finnriver seeks to be a hub for fabulous seasonal food and to support local farmers, producers, and food vendors.   As such we allow outside food and drink only by permission for private events, and for unique circumstances such as special events (birthday cake) or for dietary restrictions. We encourage our guests to enjoy our daily picnic menu featuring local cheeses and savory/sweet snacks, or to check our website to view the rotating array of local food vendors who serve throughout the year.  Your support helps GROW our local food economy! Please contact cidergarden@finnriverfarm.com for your events' food requests, and check out the calendar for up to date food vendor scheduling.

FARM SAFETY

Thank you for considering a visit to Finnriver! We’re glad to grow community here and to welcome visitors and groups to our working farm. Please help us care for the land, the animals and the people who visit by sharing these safety considerations with your group.

We keep bees on the farm, for pollination and honey. There may also be bees/wasps nests in unexpected locations. If you are allergic to bee stings, bring appropriate medications with you and proceed with caution.

Farm animals are not pets!  Do not feed or touch any farm animals. Keep a safe distance from all animals, including farm dogs. Do not enter fenced animal areas.

Animal fences are generally electrified and may cause a shock if touched. Do not touch electric fences and approach all fences with care.

Tractors are not play equipment!  Do not touch or climb any equipment and do not allow children to climb any machines, equipment or farm structures. Keep a safe distance from all farm equipment and machinery and look out for moving machinery at work.

Please respect the DO NOT ENTER signs around barns and equipment sheds.

Chimacum Creek is a salmon stream, currently undergoing re-forestation and restoration.  Please do not climb on creek banks or enter the creekside restoration area.

Please remain on obvious pathways around the farm and do not enter research fields or pick any food or flowers from the farm.  

Please only use designated restrooms and trash/compost receptacles for all waste.

No fires should be lit anywhere on the land.

Remember, this is a working farm and so the ground may be lumpy and bumpy.  There is irrigation and other equipment around the farm. Please wear appropriate shoes and watch your step for holes and other obstacles.

There is a NO SMOKING policy at Finnriver property. If you have guests who must smoke, please advise them to smoke in the parking lot away from other visitors and to fully extinguish butts. Due to potential tobacco virus contamination of our organic crops, no cigarette butts should be left on the land.

Kids & Pets

Yes kids. No pets. Finnriver is family-friendly and all ages are welcome. (Games, exploring the orchard, kiosk) Children under 16 must be accompanied at all times on the farm by a responsible adult.

No visiting dogs are allowed in the cider garden or on the farm. Exceptions for carry pouches with small dogs. We do have an on-leash dog walking area next to the parking area.

In the Neighborhood

We have a very amazing, creative and delicious neighborhood. Within 15 miles of Finnriver you can find many wonderful places to visit like farms, creameries, pottery studios, artists and local-friendly eating establishments. We encourage you to explore!
