Keith grew up farming with his family on their grain ranch in Eastern Washington. That land has been farmed by the Kislers for five generations and it was there he learned the rhythms of the land, the way to fix a tractor, and how to work long days. Now Keith is proud to be continuing the grain-growing tradition of his family on our organic farm here on the Olympic Peninsula.

Finnriver is working with researchers from Washington State University and the Organic Seed Alliance to test varieties of grain that will grow well in western Washington's maritime climate. We are also partnering with local schools and non-profits to promote sustainable agriculture education by offering our pedal-powered bicycle grain mill and hand-mills for demonstrations and events.
